Quick questions with Hubertus
Where did it start?
It all started in Junior 60 in Malmö, Sweden. My cousin had an old kart, which I was fortunate enough to be able to borrow a few times. After just a few sessions I was completely hooked and just never wanted to stop. After just a few months I started in my first race as a debutant and continued to race Junior 60 before I moved to a professional team and into Junior 125 and OK Junior.
What is the IAME Euro Series?
The IAME Euro Series is one of the premier karting championships in Europe, organized by IAME (Italian American Motor Engineering), a leading manufacturer of karting engines. The series is open to competitors using IAME’s own line of high-performance engines, particularly from the popular X30 engine range. It attracts top-level karting talent from across Europe and sometimes globally, serving as a proving ground for young drivers aiming to advance in motorsport.
What am I racing now?
I am currently racing my second year in Junior 125 X30 karts in the IAME Series in the Nordics and I have just taken my first steps in Senior 125 X30. In 2023 and 2024 I did my first international races with some top 10 finishes.
